A free way to find out where you stand
Professional responsibility material runs through both examinations, barrister and solicitor alike, which makes it the one area every candidate needs regardless of which paper they are sitting. That is exactly why we chose it for our free quiz: it is the most honest free sample we can offer, because nobody gets to skip the subject it covers.

What it is
Real exam-style questions on professional responsibility, written the way the papers write them: fact patterns, four options, one best answer. You sit it on the same platform as our full mocks, and when you finish you get the same reporting: your score, your breakdown, a review of the questions you missed, and explanations when you clear our threshold. It costs nothing and it is not a teaser cut of something better; it is the product, at small scale.
You will find it on our free resources page.
How to use it well
As a diagnostic, early. Sit it cold, before studying the PR materials, and let the result tell you how far the ethics material is from your fingertips. Most candidates discover the gap between "I am an ethical person" and "I can pick the best answer among four defensible-sounding ones" is wider than expected. The questions test the rules, not your character.
As a dry run of the method. Everything we tell candidates about mocks applies in miniature: sit it honestly, review your misses properly, sort them into misread, half-knew, and did-not-know. If the review pass changes how you would study PR, you have just learned what a full report does across an entire paper, and you learned it for free.
As a second opinion, later. Sat it in September? Sit the material again in October through your review. Whether the same distinctions still catch you is a better progress measure than how you feel.
The honest disclosure
We are a business, and the free quiz exists partly so you can judge our questions and reporting before spending money. We think that cuts in your favour: you get to evaluate the thing itself instead of our marketing, and the subject is one you must prepare either way. If it is not for you, you spent an hour on professional responsibility questions you needed to face anyway. There are worse hours in a licensing year.
